Miss Janice B. Genco, daughter of Mr and Mrs Sam Genco of Jamestown NY formerly of Corry, graduated from State University College at Fredonia NY with elementary education. She earned magna cum laude and President's Scholar honors at the commencement at Chautauqua Institution and joins the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary Society.

Pennsylvania Teen Pageant Invites Local Teens to Enter
The Miss Pennsylvania Teen-Ager Pageant has run since 1972 and this year marks its fourth edition. Winners from Huntingdon Valley Pittsburgh and Monongahela have advanced to national finals in Kansas City Missouri, with the state finals set for Harrisburg July 25 and 26 at the Penn Harris Motor Inn. A Little Miss Pennsylvania Talent Contest runs alongside, with all winners advancing to the national finals. Applications until June 10 require a large self addressed stamped envelope and specify the age category.

Annual Mother and Daughter Banquet at EUM Church
The Evangelical United Methodist Church hosted its annual mother and daughter banquet with 125 attendees. Spring floral centerpieces and petunia favors adorned tables as Sally Shreffler welcomed guests and Mrs Maud Bennink delivered the invocation.
