City Council Rejects Police Patrol Car Bids Again
Bids from Clarence S. Wallace Thomas Motors Company and Christensen Motors failed to include required certified checks, delaying the contract for a police patrol car for a second time. The council ordered a new advertisement and readvertisement, with bids to be opened at a special meeting on June 22. The delay postpones delivery by about two weeks, and the department has used a street crew vehicle at night while Chief Flanigan travels in his own car for essential trips.
