City ordinance on Sunday amusements deferred by council
Franklin city council deferred action on the proposed ordinance banning all lands of sports in amusements for pay within the city on Sunday to the first Monday in July by a two vote margin. A large snake attacked a three year old near Titusville, biting her heel and sending the child for treatment to a physician. Titusville landlords met with thirty five neighbors to organize mutual protection and discuss measures to guard property. Nine converts in the Christian and Missionary Alliance church were baptized by immersion in Oil Creek at Petrotenia Center Sunday. Mrs. Harrison H. Keppel will host the Lake Ald Society of St Paul’s Lutheran church Wednesday at 3 o’clock in the church parlors. All members invited.
