Lawyer Appointed For Area Killing Suspect In Buffalo
A Buffalo lawyer was appointed Wednesday to provide legal counsel for Santiago Cruz 28 accused in the slaying of Jack DiOrazio North East. Cruz alias Juan Madera was nabbed Tuesday in Branton New York by state police acting on a tip that he would be with migrant farm workers, said North East Police Chief James Ciminnisi. Police seek a third suspect believed to be another migrant worker. Cruz Pablo Manuel Latores 24 and the third suspect allegedly stabbed DiOrazio during a fight at the Golden Pheasant Cafe in North East on April 13. DiOrazio died May 13. Latores was arrested in May and is free on $10 000 bond.

Airport Fly-In At Lawrence Airport Sunday
The annual fly-in sponsored by Chapter 160 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will draw planes from a wide area to Lawrence Airport on Sunday. The daylong event features a morning spot landing contest, free breakfast for visiting homebuilt planes, a lunch, awards for aircraft, a flying demonstration, and an antique auto display with public inspections. A rain date is planned for Sunday June 16.
