Explosion near Franklin blasts 300 quarts nitro
A runaway blast from 300 quarts of nitro glycerine exploded while being moved to a well 20 miles south of Franklin. One man Wayse Hulbert, 54, of Pleasantville, died. the blast damaged a railroad line and wrecked a nearby truck. A crater 10 by 20 feet marked the site.
