Washington June 5 Preudent Tal speech on Canadian reciprocity arouses bitter sentiment among senators and farmers alleging the opposition is backed by timber and print paper interests. Some senators plan formal action soon as the bill moves to Senate consideration with debate and potential amendments before week’s end.
President Taft motored through the suburbs with his sister Mrs Thomas Lily Leaf to Washington arriving at 8 am.
