Gets life term for murder of Emlenton girl

James Montgomery, a Rimersburg youth, was given a life sentence in the Western Penitentiary at Pittsburgh after pleading guilty to the murder of Mrs. Bernard Hoy, 19, of Emlenton. The sentence followed testimony from both sides during Clarion county court, ending a Memorial Day jury selection. Montgomery allegedly stabbed Hoy during an automobile ride with others, after learning his wife had left for video plans. He will be transported to the penitentiary early this week.
