Iron workers in Titusville struck over pay and fringe benefits delaying the Methodist Church steel frame. About 80 workers, represented by the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers AFL, seek 25 cents more per hour and 74 cents in fringe benefits, with current wages around 2.90. Subcontractor Glenn Group of Erie argues a five cent boost and benefit enforcement, noting a 71 cent fringe included in May 1952 contract. Other affected projects include Oil City Hospital, W T Grant in Ol City, and Cranberry School in Venango County.
