Machinery tax appeals to start in July
About 100 appeals against the city machinery assessment will begin hearings in July in the courthouse. City Solicitor John Bnelish and others met with manufacturers’ attorneys to set dates and seek pre hearing agreements. Protesters challenge the tax’s constitutionality and mid cycle assessment raising questions of legality and process.
