A $99,000 harbor improvement program for Erie will start within 10 to 42 days. Col J A O Connor recommends award to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co of Buffalo on the low bid. Plans include straightening channel, extending outer entrance 500 feet, fan shaping 4000 feet, eliminating a triangular area near the ore dock, and dredging to about 21 feet.
