Only Two Hit Postmaster Test For Warren Office
Warren July 29 appointment of four permanent postmasters at the local office will be announced soon. Reports say only two of eleven candidates will qualify James K Bell former postmaster led the list and Ervin N Branch assistant postmaster since 1918 is second. Others tested last December include Marjorie Briggs Lee Dunn and Roy Eaton among twelve examined by Harrison Meyer Civil Service inspector in May.

Infant Wells Dies at Corry Hospital
Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wells of 212 Sherman Street died at Corry Hospital this morning at 8 65. Born June 14, 1938, the child had become critical in recent days and died after treatment. Survived by four sisters, a brother, a paternal grandmother Mrs Kathryn Wells Corry, and grandfather Charles Hank Jamestown. Prayer services Monday at 4 pm from Bracken Keating chapel with Lutheran cemetery interment.
