Three Jump From Car Demolished By Train
The Oldsmobile touring car driven by Franke Tubbs of Union City Wisconsin was demolished after a westbound freight train struck the vehicle at the Center Street crossing about dusk Saturday. Tubbs his daughter Mia Marsh and Thomas Behan of this city escaped injury by jumping from the car as the train moved across the crossing. The driver allegedly tripped at the crossing when the gateman lowered the safety device after allowing the car to start. The car stalled and the occupants fled the vehicle just before the locomotive pulled the auto beyond the express office where the train stopped.

Child Dies After Fall From Automobile Near Union City
Richard Leon Dennis a two year old son of Mr and Mrs Harry Dennis of Titusville died instantly when he fell head first from a car door latch while riding with his parents en route to Erie four miles south of Union City. The automobile was driven by his father and stopped quickly after the accident. The child suffered a crushed skull and broken jaw and died at Union City hospital. Neighbors aided at the scene.
