Makeup artist rates McGovern face easier than Nixon
Chicago based makeup artist Jack Stein says McGovern is an easy face due to natural coloring while Nixon presents a tougher challenge because of his beard and skin tone. He notes Eisenhower was easy but glare from a shiny head was hard to remove. Stein discusses his waterbase technique and recalls treating the Kennedys Eisenhowers Brooks and Nixon during campaigns. He says politicians resist makeup but the aim is to reveal their best features for on camera.
