Milk threat bluff cited by Allied Dairy Farmers official

United Press report from Philadelphia notes Daniel Eckley, secretary of the Allied Dairy Farmers Association, dismissing distributor threats to close milk stations as a bluff. He says Philadelphia can draw milk from Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland’s eastern shore, and wide Pennsylvania counties to meet demand, and any closure would reflect strategic reprisal or redundancy. He warns stations closing would drive up costs and possibly force synthetic milk production. Also mentions Bethel Tabernacle evangelistic services continuing next week under Rev. Earl Shevel of Warren, Ohio, with nightly services and Sunday worship scheduled.
