Austrian forces declare war following a failed mediation effort. Reports from Berlin London and Paris describe Servian forces retreating after an early invasion, with Austrians advancing through Belgrade and heavy troop movements across occupied Serbia.
A violent disruption erupts as the Caillaux trial opens with accusations of revolver threat and pleas from Mme Caillaux. The presiding judge suspended proceedings after Caillaux collapsed and a woman was carried from the courtroom for medical aid.
Willer Crosby, son of the late Manley Crosby of this city, appears in The Cowara or The Man at the Amuse. Recognized by locals, Crosby plays the butler in the film made with the Holleen Company and now with Famous Players. The picture will be shown again tonight. Weather fair tonight and Wednesday.
A young woman from Union City was abducted on Union Road near Spring Creek. A local man, Williun Womi, was identified as involved, with letters found at the girl’s home suggesting a possible accomplice. Police tracked leads to Pittsburgh and Edinburgh, and a county constable intercepted a suspect in Wirron County, ending with the girl returned to her parents in the afternoon.
Corry Fair and Crivinig Park Associon optimistic over a busy Lake Belo Circuit week. Mtendance expected to exceed prior reports as hotels fill and fans travel to Titusville for the 226 Voom the 2:0 Trot and the 211 events. Local lineup and visiting teams announced with readiness for a strong performance.

Pittsburgh July 28 United Press reports the tenth price cut for Pennsylvania crude oil. Offers listed Mercer Black New Castle Caball Somerset Corning Ragland with prices ranging from 70 cents to 1.25 dollars per barrel. The cuts mark the tenth since April 17.
