Mental Case Sought In Erie Murder
Police hunt 89 year old Hayward Robert Preston in connection with the stabbing death of Tina Watson in Jefferson Ohio and a separate slashing death case in Erie County. Preston escaped Farview State Hospital in Waymart Pennsylvania on July 1 and was seen making a phone call from a Cincinnati drug store. He is described as white, five feet six inches, about 165 pounds, with brown eyes and thinning brown hair. Authorities say he was committed under the Barr Walker Act for a sex assault on a 16 year old girl and was a hospital trustee prior to his escape. It is unclear if Ohio authorities also seek him for the Linda Ann Moore case in Jefferson.
