Bundist from area fighting deportation
Walter Schneller Jr and fourteen other alleged German American Bund members whose convictions were reversed by the Supreme Court filed suit in federal court in Washington seeking an injunction against Attorney General Clark to stop their deportation. They contend all fifteen were naturalized citizens but had their naturalization revoked for Bund membership, a revocation they call unlawful, noting the Supreme Court decision in June. They claim denaturalization should be annulled and citizenship restored and that deportation warrants had been prepared.
