Police rescue girl from shanty near Erie
Police broke up a group in a Walnut street area shanty after a girl, about 17, was found in a boat house. Four men and a negro were detained on suspicion of enticing, while the girl claimed fear for her safety and identified a 26 year old as involved. Officers quoted the girl expressing fear and desire to be left alone.
