Emergency surgery saves Erie worker after machine gear crush
A 28 year old grinder at a Dulin Brick plant had his right leg drawn into a machine gear while greasing it. Dr Dayle Keck of St Vincent s Hospital performed an emergency operation, severing the crushed limb below the face. He is in serious condition at Hamfet Hospital Awaiting a possible second operation as of July 20.

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Larson five year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Larson of Elmhurst will be held at Fluvanna Community Church at 4 this afternoon. Burial in Fluvanna Cemetery. She died in Jamestown General Hospital after encephalitis linked to a past measles attack. Survived by parents two sisters and a step brother. Born October 3 1943 in Jamestown.
