A 55 year old man named Eric fell from a second story roof Saturday afternoon at his home. He was taken to Hamot Hospital with possible broken neck and facial injuries. Witness Stanley Justilk reported the incident. He was working on the roof when he slipped and fell.
Mill. July 6 The State Superior Court sustains Judge Elmer J. Evans on club liquor licenses falling under quota provisions of the State Liquor Control Law. Appeals by Voiture Locale No. 462 and Oakley K. Cobb Post No. S67 were denied. Evans previously reversed to exempt veterans clubs, but the higher court affirmed the latest interpretation of the law.
A Sunday service at 2:30 pm honored Jesse Whitney with Rev. H Ray Harris officiating and Rev. Arnold Lundberg assisting. Bearers included Ivan Downey and others. Sunday School class members served as escort with Ajax Iron Works delegation. Interment in Beaverdam Cemetery. Attendees travelled from Union City Jamestown State College Erie Russell and surrounding areas.
