A language barrier hindered immediate interrogation, but a map aided piecing his route from Tunisia through Europe, Germany, France, and Italy toward the Alps. Continued on Page Two.
The FPHA bids opened for Corry and Tianville public housing upgrades with Ortiman and Rebee of Meadville lowest on the Corry job at 52 954. The same firm also lowest on an 854 720 Elwood City project. New work at Tianville totaling about 88 000 was bid by a Sears Dale firm. Openings showed extensive sewer and interior work planned, including plumbing revamping and sidewalk construction along Columbus Avenue. Awards not yet announced, with Walter Moynihan in charge of Corry project.
