A public auction organized by the Golden Rule Club will be held Thursday on the vacant lot at Pirsch Avenue and West South Street starting at 1 PM. Merchants, farmers, and the general public are invited to sell items with a 2 percent selling fee. Twenty prizes will honor oldest and youngest on the grounds, longest travel, oldest car, and other categories. additional prizes from a soft drink distributor will be awarded. Auctioneer John Hammond will direct bidding.

Charles H Roth of Sparta Dies at 65
Charles H. Roth of Spartansburg Pa died Saturday afternoon after a yearlong illness. Aged 65, he had lived in the borough about 14 years, coming from Townville where his wife Anna Roth ran a telephone exchange. He is survived by his wife, three brothers John A. Roth W Va George W. Roth Parkersburg W Va and Clarence Roth Fowler Mont, two sisters Ada Rowell Cleveland Ohio and Rose Kennedy Meadville Pa, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 2 40 p m at the Torry funeral home Spartansburg with Rev Herbert Schuckers officiating. interment will be in Townville Cemetery.

Boy Killed When Run Over by Father's Auto
A 4-year-old boy died in Conneaut when he fell from a car and was run over by the front wheel. The accident occurred Saturday night as Raymond West exited his home at 611 Walnut Street. West, who was on the running board, did not see the child, and the skull fracture proved fatal at once.
