New Corry High School Nears Opening as Inspection Planned

Dr Lawrence Douglas announced the Ludwig firm will inspect the new Corry Area High School on August 17 as the school district prepares for classes starting September 8. The winged classrooms and library are near completion, with vocational shops expected ready though unaffordable initially. Architect Walter Campbell will attend the tour, the 10 room building accommodates 1200 students at a cost of 2 286 000 plus bond interest. The joint committee may assume control if work is approved. two Junior High instructors remain to hire before opening.

New Clue Found in Mystery Case Cambridge Springs

A hidden blackjack found in a Crawford County garage surfaces as a new clue in the Doris Hatch disappearance near Cambridge Springs. Moscow reports M D Ryumin, a Beria henchman, was executed by firing squad almost 15 months after being blamed for the doctors plot. The Corry Journal and its printing department will be taken over by Henry A. Satterwhite of Bradford for a new firm to be known as The Corry Evening Journal. George Sample will remain as managing editor. Arthur Colegrove announced the sale this afternoon. The change marks the end of Colegrove family ownership dating to 1902.
