Warren County commissioners moved to collect 13 470 in overdue fines and costs dating to 1958. Court clerks will notify delinquents by letter to pay within 10 to 15 days or a bench warrant will be issued. Arrests will be by the sheriff if responses fail.
In Pittsburgh area, Albert Sunnerwood testified Tuesday before a Federal grand jury probing numbers activity in Allegheny County after initially refusing to answer. The questions centered on Tony Grosso, convicted in March on conspiracy and gambling tax charges. Sunner was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator. Sunner asserted he is not a target and answered after Federal Judge John L. Miller ordered him to testify.
Police and a priest rescued James Jameson, 23, of Penn Hills, from the Westinghouse Bridge pier Tuesday night after he threatened to jump. He was taken to St. Francis General Hospital. Lt.
