Crawford Co Tot Drowns Near Home
A one and a half year old boy named Ronald Sherman drowned near his Union City area home in Crawford County yesterday morning. His parents Mr and Mrs Theodore Sherman of R D 2 Centerville reported the drowning occurred about 150 feet from their residence after a sibling found the child in a small creek under four feet of water. The time of death is not yet determined. Ronald is survived by his parents five brothers Leroy Eugene Richard Edward and David and a sister Shirley Sherman.

Silver Creek Girl Injured By Boat in Harbor Bay
A 10 year old Greek girl, Virginia Ward, injured Wednesday afternoon when struck by an outboard motorboat while wading at Hunford Bay Lake Erie near a sand bar. She is in Brooks Memorial Hospital improving. The boat was operated by Richard Schaack, 15, of Gowanda. no criminal changes planned, Coast Guard to issue reprimand.
