A blast and ensuing flames wiped out the Shell ice plant south of Tamaqua Pennsylvania causing about 250000 dollars in damage. Fire Chief reports no casualties as crews fought the blaze through the night and investigators began work on the wreckage.

May Call On Nat's Guard Volunteers

Washington AP National Guard officials plan to use volunteers to meet rising troop and cargo air transport needs during a potential Viet Nam buildup. Air Force officials say as many as 20 000 guardsmen and reservists could be called for transport roles, with guard crews flying soldiers and materiel to the Far East and freeing MATS planes for Viet Nam airlift. Bombers strike Viet Cong camps north of Saigon
