County allocates funds to combat wheat pests in Crawford
Crawford county commissioners voted to add 1000 dollars to an ongoing 2000 dollar barley pest control program to fight Wiki barberry, an intermediate host for stem rust affecting wheat oats rye and barley. The state agriculture department will match the new 1000 dollars, bringing total Crawford county funding to 4000 dollars for pest control.
