The 4 H Club at Columbus Community Building led by Mrs. Lee Tripp met with six members to work on Crunchy Drop Cookies. The recipe used includes shortening brown sugar egg vanilla milk and cereal with bake time of 10 to 12 minutes at 350. Plans for Warren County Fair entries and next meeting details were announced.
The Women of the Moose met Thursday evening at the Moose Lodge with Senior regent Mrs. Alphonse Vanssens presiding. Mrs. Lawrence Hansen announced a white elephant sale for chapter night on August 1 and urged full cooperation in donations from active and inactive members. Florence Holton and Hallie Waugamen were reported as new coworkers. Attendance award went to Mrs. Joseph DeMarte and the special award to Shirley Mortimer.
Mrs Floyd Webb entertained a birthday club at her King Street home with Mrs Walter Nollinger and Mrs Wilbur Renskers assisting. Prizes went to Mrs Edward Holthouse, Mrs Vincent Legters, Mrs James Ten Haken, and Mrs Clara Holthouse. special award to Mrs Walter Nollinger.
