Youth Held For Court In Slaying
15 year old Kane County youth Craig Bickel was bound over to circuit court on voluntary manslaughter and discharging firearms charges after a juvenile hearing. The June 20 incident at a Woodlot near West Kane left Raymond F. Walton dead during an argument. A special juvenile hearing ruled normal court procedures apply and that the district attorney’s office will handle charges. If true bill by the October grand jury is found, trial proceeds before a petit jury. otherwise case ends.
