City Council hearings on paving W Main and street realignment
Fourth Ward residents heard two public proposals at last night’s meeting led by Director of Streets Stanley 4H. Nichols. A resolution urged the state highway department to pave W Main street from Fifth avenue to the city line, noting it would be the only remaining untreated street under the program. A second proposal seeks a straight route by widening First avenue through the former Dawson property and Cohen property, joining Main and Second Avenue, and reducing sharp turns. Nichols to report at next meeting.
