The City Council, after consulting fire officials and Stanford Hose Co, voted to keep the 1943 open cab Buffalo pumper. Safety director William Halfast said its value to insurers is zero, but local firefighters plan to use it at Number 2 station when the new truck arrives, with the new vehicle housed at Number 1.
