Dunkirk Police Chief Clem Lytg requests public cooperation to curb vandalism in parks and city areas. Citizens should report suspicious activity immediately. deputies are on duty 24 hours a day. Vandalism strains taxpayers and diverts street repairs. Youngsters risk police records affecting jobs and promotions.
Donald Buffalari Jr. of Erie reports three cars boxed his vehicle on an east side street. Six youths ages 18 to 20 entered his car, searched it, took $2, and frisked him before fleeing as rocks and bottles were thrown. Police noted the incident occurred early Saturday morning.
In Ripley Chautauqua County eleven people were injured in a two car crash last evening. A car driven by 1 year old Robert Coccarelli reportedly ran a stop sign and collided with a nine passenger vehicle driven by Raymond Riewaldt. Several Riewaldt passengers were hospitalized with facial lacerations while others were treated and released.
