Allegheny County detectives report Ronald Kowalski, 16, Natrona, was accidentally shot and killed yesterday by Job Soxinski, 17, son of Harrison Township Police Chief Alex Swainski. Sosinski had shown the revolver to Kowalski and Stanley Ma'ak, 18, of Natrona, at his home. a misfire struck Kowalski in the right eye. The Sosinski family was home alone when the accident occurred as the chief and his wife were fishing in a family contest.
A three car crash on Route near Butler left Franklin man John W. Conway dead at 60. Harold A. Monks 19 of Butler and Arthur 41 of Butler County Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Duane Z. Maninder 35 of Pittsburgh sustained injuries as State Police report Conway crossed the centerline and collided head on with Monks vehicle.
George J Fehrenbach executive vice president of the Spear Carton Co suffered the loss of four toes over the weekend from a lawn mower accident at his home. Spear operates plants in St. Marys Bradford Punxsutawney Po and Niagara Falls NY.
