Train Car Crash Injures Elderly Pair Near Younasville
Two elderly residents were injured when a tractor rear struck a car at a crossing two miles west of Younasville. Nina Ghering, 84, of Franklin, remained hospitalized with eyebrow lacerations bruises on the right arm and possible hip fracture. Bertha Bell, 73, of Franklin, treated for injuries to the right arm. The driver, Ramsdale Ray, escaped injury. train engineer was Robert A. Anderson, 45, of Warren. State investigators said the Ramdsdale car stopped on the far side before the collision.
