Police report Joseph Caldwell forced entry into a Mt Washington home this morning and shot his estranged wife Mabel Caldwell before shooting himself. Mrs Caldwell was critically wounded and rushed to Mercy Hospital. Caldwell was dead at the scene. The incident followed Mrs Caldwell spending the night at friend Nellie Nooning’s home.
