Murray's Team Wins Benefit Game For Corry Girl
Murray's aggregation of City League players won the big benefit ball game at City Tongue park defeating Billy Otverst from the Spring factory by five to four. Proceeds near two hundred dollars will aid the Corry girl who has been deprived of her eyesight. Lathrop pitched well for Murray, Vandresar started for Raymonda, and Maloney finished strong. The eight o'clock start extended to nearly eight, allowing many workers to attend. A fourth well will be drilled this season and is expected to be ready soon, with tool crews active on several old holes boosting crude output despite limited new wells.
