Block Party Feast At Hillcrest Over Fourth
A large Hillcrest Fourth of July block party drew 118 attendees, including families and a few dogs. The menu featured 118 people meals with two 35 pound suckling pigs, 28 dozen clams, three kegs of beer, 13 cases of pop, 10 watermelons, 50 pounds sauerkraut, eight pounds spare ribs, 180 hotdogs, plus chicken livers, bacon and ham and eggs. Fireworks valued at $250 capped the celebration as planners aim to outdo it on Labor Day weekend.
