George A. Croft, Corry High School class of 1936 and Royal Canadian Air Force pilot, is listed as missing in action. Son of William A. and Mrs. Groth of 505 North Center Street, Croft earlier worked for Pennsylvania Gas Co in Warren. He flew a four motor Halifax bomber and likely took part in Normandy operations after sixteen bombing missions. He last wrote June 12 before word reached his parents Sunday night. In Somerset, Pa., July 10 James Henry Kent is charged with George Kern slaying as Norman Boose denies writ of habeas corpus.
