Lady Franklin Rebekah Lodge members and families traveled to Findley Lake on Thursday for their annual outing. About fifty attended the Cottage of Mir and Mrs H W Cutnrike. The group spent the afternoon at the resort while men joined for a 6 20 dinner. Mrs L R Tiffany chaired the arrangements for the outing.

Father’s Fight Saves His Son in Chicago Lake Rescue

His father Stanley Thompson, a traffic manager at World in Chicago, rushed from the airline office to administer rescue with a pulmotor. Thieves and Farmers Clash In Ohio Shootout
United Press reports a gun battle at the home of George Wallace near Alliance Ohio after a trio of alleged black chicken thieves confronted a returning gang. Wallace his son Olen 18 and farm hand George McPeek were wounded while John Johnson Ernest Winker and William Reese were captured and jailed. A large arsenal was found. Wallace senior was gravely wounded, Olen Wallace had a severely injured wrist likely to be amputated, and McPeek was in critical condition.
