Erie liquor dealers push for one county rationing plan
Attorney Owen Burns told Fred T. Gelder that Erie County tavern owners support a liquor rationing program to be piloted in one county. Burns said the current three month purchase basis used for allotments in 1942 is unfair because taverns stocked up in April and May, giving some owners an advantage. Gelder would study the Erie situation and seek an equitable share for tavern owners if possible.
