Two Corry women, Mrs. Dorothy Boland and Mrs. Mary Finucan, were injured when a car driven by Floyd Menton of Centerville veered after a door swung open on East Pleasant Street. Mrs. Ruland sustained the most serious injuries, with bruises to legs and hips as the wheels ran over her. Finucan and Boland suffered bumps and bruises. Boland was taken home for further examination while Finucan continued to work.
Hollidaysburg PA July reports say a blast damaged the home of high school athlete Pranvis Cruse after weeks of sign painting vandalism. His family said the Cruse name was painted on nearby cars and buildings with insulting messages. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at 600.

Paul Fleming, ex-resident of Jacksonville, pleaded guilty to assault with intent and received a ten year term in Florida state prison.
