Erie builder George D. Isaaci asked Erie to cut him in on a twenty two thousand lien by a compromise payment. He offered four thousand dollars to settle about nine thousand in pavement and sewer assessments on property along the old French road between Fourth Street and the city line. The offer was delivered to city officials Friday as part of a broader compromise by several owners in the district.

Stuart A. Culbertson, a Meadville lawyer and former Crawford County district attorney, was arrested yesterday on a charge of nonsupport of a child born out of wedlock. An Erie woman, 27, filed the information. Culbertson pleaded not guilty and posted bail before Alderman G. Smith.
Seven Erie men aboard a 26 foot motor boat were rescued by Coast Guardsmen after a timing chain failure left them adrift for five hours off Mile Creek in Lake Erie. The craft owner Barry Greene reported the incident. rescue completed at 9:90 9.m. by Boatswain Kenneth Lehnon. All seven were unharmed and on a leisure trip when the accident occurred.
