York, Pa July. Little Cherten Fallinger Jr. of York has been victim of accidents on his birthday. Doctors tally many misfortunes from being run over last week, to a dog bite, a football injury, broken bones, and a fall from a chairlift. He is the son of Charles Fr Zultioge Jr, formerly collector in the York Patatante baseball team.
The Meadville area district reports better fiscal health than in years past. Auditors noted unpaid bills and missing funds but the board plans extensive improvements to seven or eight township schools, with the Fredmond school idle due to low enrollment.
A post office pouch stolen February 10, 1914, from Outer City was recovered near Howard Junction. Postmaster, Mr Jewett, and county detective Jones identified papers inside, including deeds and records, some of great value. the sack and contents were moisture damaged but intact after being found by Alu Dwyer and returned to Mr Jewett and the postmaster at Custer.
Trustees appointed in bankruptcy of R G Palmer request immediate payment from debtors. City announces sealed bids for West Wayne Street sanitary sewer and Smith Street sewer projects, including manholes and connections, with plans on file and bids due July 24 1516.
