Picnickers at Mead Park gathered for Corry's Bicentennial Community Picnic on Saturday afternoon. Local families Mr and Mrs Hubert Vaughn and Mr and Mrs Jerry shared outdoor dinner as a canine guest relaxed nearby.
Anna Welch of 25 Grove Street Corry won a first prize blue ribbon for hand-painted china at Waitsburg Bicentennial events. Dennis Carlson returns to Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh after a visit with his parents. Weidner family hosts 70th reunion at Rome Township Community Center on July 11 with entertainment by Jim and Chris Hicks. Miss Rexene Kenniston bride elect of Bernie Fralick was honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower hosted by Mrs. Gordon Fralick and others. Thirty six guests from Corry area Spartansburg Youngsville and Burdette attended. A Bible cake with rings and a photo cake were featured and gifts were presented. The couple will marry August 7 at Corry Church of the Nazarene.
