Trim Paving Program But Plenty Left

The city’s yearlong paving plan will fall short of its goals this year but will still add about 8000 dollars for new paving, widening and curbing in storm sewer areas. City Engineer David Johnson outlined the project list to the City Council, including paving and curbing on West and East streets, Fifth Avenue, Concord and Grove streets, Clinton Street, and widening on Spring and Delaware streets, with certain streets removed due to storm drainage issues. The program covers 3340 feet of new paving and 1950 feet of widening and curbing, and a paving ordinance will be prepared for first reading at the 11 July 20th meeting.
