Nyla Jo Estes and William Albert Zboyovski united in a June 29 candlelight ceremony at Trinity United Methodist Church Erie officiated by Dr. Paul Thomas. Attendants wore apricot and plaid gowns. reception for 300 at Kuhl Hose Company after a formal service featuring traditional nuptial music and floral decor.
Senator Dwyer attended a Corry Area Fine Arts Council luncheon at the Corry Motor Inn. Plans were laid for the August 11 Sunday in the Park with a rain date August 18. Local and area artists and craftsmen are invited, Strickland's Old Timers Band to entertain, and a book sale by The Friends of the Library will be held. Refreshments will be served.
Mrs. George Andrus Jr hosted an indoor picnic for eight Martha Circle members of the First United Methodist Church on South Center Street. Devotions were led by Mrs. Irvin Young, with business by vice chairman Mrs. Edmund Barr. The circle will handle the wedding reception for Marlene Wells and John Bliley on July 13, and promotes the Sunset Auxiliary picnic August 17 at the Methodist Home and Hospital in Meadville. No summer meetings. next gathering in September with Mrs. Earl Messinger of Columbus. The couple will reside on Old Wattsburg Road in Union City. she is a Wattsburg graduate and works as a secretary, he a Wattsburg graduate and GE Erie assembler.
Birdie Tells Us reports a July 13 reception at Evangelical United Methodist Church honoring the newly married couple Crystal Huffman and Lynn Peck. The notice lists family connections, travel visits, and community events including historical society and reunions in Corry, Union City, and surrounding areas.
Miss Janet Lamont Adams of Winchester and Douglas R. Weber of Erie are engaged. Adams is Allegheny College graduate in sociology and Mount Ida and Hadley alumna. Weber, Allegheny College chemistry graduate, will study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. No wedding date yet.
The 4-H Club met Tuesday at the Columbus Community Building to make strawberry jam as the day’s project and planned to enter some in the Warren County Fair. Next week the group will meet at 7 pm at the Columbus Building to make pizza per reporter Pam Stroup.
