State representative H Budd Dwyer received a report from Clifford H McConnell chief engineer of the Department of Forests and Waters. Bids for preliminary surface exploration at Clear Lake Spartansburg and Sugar Lake Wayne Township will be opened in Harrisburg at 1 p.m. July 25 for sub surface drilling and field testing costs. Michael Baker Engineering Associates completed aerial photos of Centerville dam project on Oil Creek Athens Township and will forward a topographic map this month. Core drilling and subsurface exploration at Centerville are planned late summer after map evaluation to assess feasible impoundment size. A Harrisburg meeting last spring discussed a 400 acre lake or larger impoundment in the Oil Creek Valley watershed.
