NLRB Rules Against Quality Markets in Titusville
The NLRB upheld a trial examiner ruling that Quality Markets Inc in Titusville engaged in unfair labor practices while also denying dismissal of the charge that it refused to bargain with the union Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen. The board ordered the four Titusville stores to bargain collectively with the union and, if agreed, to sign a contract detailing wages and other terms. The action follows union exceptions to the March 30 ruling. Quality has not indicated whether it will appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals.
