Coroner's Jury to Probe Erie Shooting Case
A coroner's jury will examine the death of Mrs Laurence Van Dyk at 1435 Atkins Street Erie. Francis Bringler of Buffalo New York fired the fatal shot accidentally while examining a pistol loaned by the victim. Bringler is free on his own recognizance as the investigation continues. Private services for the deceased will be held Wednesday at Brugger funeral home.

Two Injured in Erie Crash Involving Stop Sign
In Erie on Monday night two women holiday tourists sustained injuries after a collision on Sassafras Street. Driver Jack L. Dunn, 44, of 1147 W. 10th Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated and jailed pending arraignment. Witness Amber Orr reported Dunn crashed a stop sign and struck the other car carrying three occupants.

Train Hits Truck Injuring Two Men in Pennsylvania
One seriously hurt as a train struck a coal truck eight miles west of Emporium on Truman Crossing. Alfred Rhodes, 22, owner of the truck, suffered back injuries and shock with possible internal injuries. Charles Ballantine, 20, the driver, had a scalp wound and chest injuries. both were hospitalized at Kaul Memorial Hospital in St Marys. The incident involved Pennsylvanias Train No 681 due to arrive Ridgway at 21 00 hours.
