The Griffin children boarded with the Smiths while their parents searched Jamestown.
Jamestown July 3 Oliver Anderson aged 50 of Prather Avenue faced potential life imprisonment after a guilty verdict on a Second degree forgery charge. He pleaded not guilty to the charge before County Judge Futh VON Bodine and was set for trial July 14. Anderson, with three forgery indictments, had counsel changes as Judge Bodine briefly reassigned and then permitted replacements, with Michael D. Lombardo now listed as defense attorney. He reportedly has five prior felony convictions and may be charged as a fourth offender if convicted. The report also notes unrelated World War I references about the Japanese Navy and petroleum refineries.
